How to Integrate Stress Testing into your ALLL and CECL

Speaker

Invictus

The pandemic has placed a spotlight on how important it is for banks to synchronize their stress testing and their loan loss reserving under both the incurred loss method and especially CECL. This session will not only discuss how banks can integrate these two critical analytical processes, but also demonstrate how stress testing can be used to directly drive the loan loss reserve calculation. Those banks that can do this most effectively will have the proper data and analytics to optimize their reserve as well as defend it with regulators and auditors.

5:00PM - 6:00PM

Topic

A Comprehensive Approach for LIBOR Transition

Speaker

Manny Ngan CFA
BDO USA LLP

The imminent end of the London Inter-Bank Offered Rate (“LIBOR”) after its five-decade prominence as the primary benchmark rate has prompted many companies to start allocating resources to focus on transition readiness programs. As the LIBOR is set to be phased out by the end of 2021, market practitioners are expected to have implemented processes and procedures in adopting new reference alternative rates (“ARRs”) for their floating rate financial instruments.
